Who are Connect Mentors?

Connect creates opportunities to turn the participants’ learning experiences into sustainable resources of knowledge and expertise. Using a peer-to peer approach to train returnees to become mentors allows participants to exchange their experiences and have a platform to develop projects and events that support the message and importance of intercultural learning as an essential part of an international exchange experience. In doing so, Connect creates an alumni community prepared to spread the spirit of intercultural learning within higher education institutions, but also amongst the youth education sector.

Connect aims for a sustainable influence not only on those who participate actively, but also on wider parts of society. Thus it is crucial to find an innovative way to reach a bigger audience. That’s why the Mentors’ training encourages the participants to organize different projects and run events under the theme of intercultural involvement. The main aim of the Mentors’ training is to prepare them for this special role within the program.
